I suppose that every wannabe family photographer has felt a little bit like me before.  You really really REALLY want to photograph the children and babies of your family and friends but it is not always easy to bring up the subject with them.  If you are really lucky, they spontaneously ask you to do so!!!

That’s how I got to shoot Charlotte at her home shortly before her first birthday.  I am really glad I thought of wearing very comfortable clothing as a significant part of the shooting session was spent crawling on the floor following this little sweetie.  And what a sweetie she is indeed!  It was a great pleasure to do this photo shoot and hopefully this will mark the beginning of many great family sessions!

Here are few of my favourite; it was a difficult choice, believe me!

The following pictures were shot just for the fun of experimenting with a harder light set up.  I asked Stuart to look scary but that was not entirely successful, to say the least…  Anyhow, I still like it! 

I must reassure potential clients that it is NOT the way I normally do portraits of people.  Unless that is what you want, of course!
